Abstract

A mission gap occurred at STT KAO when the spirit of the Great Commission, which serves as the institution's lifeblood, was not accompanied by adequate attention to children's evangelism. Students focused more on evangelism among adults while children's ministry was neglected. This Community Service activity aimed to equip students with biblical understanding of children's evangelism, awareness of children's world and spiritual needs, and creative skills to communicate the Gospel effectively and relevantly. The implementation method consisted of a preparation stage through literature study to develop training materials, and an implementation stage using interactive lectures supported by engaging PowerPoint presentations. The training materials covered two main sessions: the theological foundation of children's evangelism and the practice of creative methods. Evaluation results from 22 participants showed very high satisfaction levels, with the majority of respondents giving the highest scores to all aspects, including material relevance, ease of understanding, practical solutions, speaker competency, and increased participant understanding. Qualitative testimonies revealed that the training not only transferred knowledge but also touched students' affective awareness to engage in children's ministry. This activity successfully bridged the mission gap and prepared students to implement the Great Commission comprehensively across all generations.
