Abstract

Conflict is an inseparable part of human interaction, especially in academic environments such as the Salatiga Integrated Christian Religious College (STAK). This study aims to examine the effectiveness of conflict management training in improving students' understanding in identifying the causes of conflict and resolving them. Referring to conflict management theory (Rahim, 2023) and social conflict resolution (Garcia & Chen, 2023), this study uses a descriptive qualitative method with an experimental approach (pre-test and post-test) on 40 students. The results showed an increase in student understanding after training, with the percentage of high understanding increasing from 25% to 35%, while low understanding decreased from 30% to 20%. These findings confirm that conflict management training can help students develop more constructive communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution strategies. The study recommends the implementation of similar training on an ongoing basis to support the development of students' social skills in academic and professional contexts. the importance of the result or a brief conclusion.
